I bought one of those cheap 7 egg incubators. But after I bought it a lot of people said not one egg hatched out of it? Was it a waste of money?

Not a waste of money if it works for you. The people using them might not have had the help of BYC . I bet you can make it work, if not someone on byc will guide you through it.
