Was My Roo Challenging Me?

I have three adult roosters, and four cockerels right now. None of them have challenged me in any way, or thrown a bad thought in my direction. And recently while we were out of town, three strangers (to them) supervised the coop and flock, and also had no issues whatsoever.
This is what you want in roosters worth keeping! They are watching for actual dangers, tidbitting the ladies, and moving out of the way of the humans who bring food every day.
I've had the other sort, and over the years have become less and less tolerant of human aggression in any form; from 'three strikes and you're out' to 'don't even think it'!!

I think roosters are nice until their not. Hormones take over and you can't scare that out of them. Maybe Google images of people's injuries from rooster and that might help you get over they "but he's such a nice good boy"
I have a well behaved rooster...until my husband and sons get around him. It's hard for me to believe because rooster and I have always respected each other's space no prob

Hmmm...He has never hurt or even approached any visitors.

Don't turn your back on him and carry a big stick! We had a rooster, Jemima (well, he was supposed to be a hen), who would attack anyone and everyone and everything that came anywhere near his territory, whether it was near the girls or not! My husband would call me from his cell phone in the driveway because Jemima was waiting to attack him as soon as he opened the door. Now, I don't want to sound cruel, we never did anything but protect ourselves, but that rooster would not back down from anything. He would be hit several times (out of the air as he was flying at us in super rooster attack mode) and he would keep coming back. He was a good boy; definitely doing his job, but he attacked me, and got me, one too many times. I showed him a thing or two!! I gave him to a poultry farm and he got to attack everyone there instead...and he had 400 hens and a few other roosters to keep him company.
