Was supposed to be RIR....

I'm pretty sure she is not crossed (but not positive)-the kid that she came from shows birds, and has purebreds. The funny thing is that she was shown at the fair as a RIR and won

I thought maybe she was a partridge wyandotte, but she layed a white/cream egg, and her legs are whitish not yellow. She also is not built like a wy.

She is sure pretty! Let me know if you ever get any hatching eggs from her. It would be fun to see what turns out. I am NW Montan.

Ditto to everyone else - I

her feathers! I would love to see what her babies would look like if you crossed her with a partridge wyandotte or an RIR.

I have no clue what she is, but those feathers are gorgeous! I want them for craft projects. *grins widely and sneaks around your yard picking up molted feathers*

She lookls like a purebred Partridge Wyandotte from what I can see of her. I would have to see her body shape more, but the color is right. They can be darker like that .

Thats funny! I am sure the judge judged her as a wyandotte and then just didnt think about it. I have seen that happen before. Maybe her legs are white because she has been laying a lot of eggs and is about ready for a molt/rest period. I would save whatever eggs you get from her now and try to incubate them. You maybe could get some more Wyandottes to breed.

I want to get partridge and silver laced wyandottes but cant untill I move. They are so pretty. I call the partridge ones purple wyandottes.

Wow, what a beautiful bird. You need a similar male. I'd love to see what her offspring look like.
