The only problem with this roof is if it allows too much sunlight and heat in there in summer. It does look like there's plenty of shade, so that's good, too much sun may not be an issue at all.
Your chicks need help figuring out about roosting, as mentioned. They are babies without adults to show the way.
Windows are good! Hardware cloth over every opening, well secured. Walk-in coops are best!

thank you! And yes it gets direct sun in the am and shade right before noon for the rest of the day. We see all of them up on the roost bar during the day just not at night.Ventilation on every wall except the shared wall against the garage wall. And yes to hardware cloth around everything, buried and likely also skirted. I’m already quite attached to these ladies so I don’t want to take any chances.

I used clear roof panels in my first hen house. Roosting was an issue at first only because they were young. I put them on the roost a couple times and they figured it out. I say put them on the roost in the evening so they get the idea of where to go.

And yes it gets direct sun in the am and shade right before noon for the rest of the day.

You'll just have to monitor temps to see if the clear roof is gong to be a problem with heat gain.
