Do you guys think these scabs were caused by my other hen? It is just a bunch of small scabs so I dont see how it could be caused from pecking, not sure if something else could cause it though. It is just her and another hen and they are attached to the hip, I dont even know who is on the top of the pecking order.

Also, she has had that red bump by her eye for a few months, it hasnt changed but thought I would ask if that looks normal or not too.

Sorry for the picture quality, I only had my phone at the time to take a picture

No one? I know its nothing serious but I would like to confirm its an injury. It was fine yesterday, it happened overnight.

Since it happened overnight as you stated, both birds would be sleeping. It's either mosquitos or mites. Inspect both your birds for mites. Go out to their coop at night using a flashlight and inspect the roosts for mites crawling around as well.
You can see mosquitos flying around inside their coop.

Ok thanks for the reply. I wouldnt be suprised if it was mosquitos, they have been awful lately. Anyone know if there is something I could do to help with that besides restricting them from getting in? Are any mosquito sprays chicken safe?

Screen all vents. Mosquitos have been horrendous here from tropical storm Debby. I've screened all the entrances into the coops by cutting a slit right down the middle of the screen. The chickens figured how to get in and out by themselves. The screen isnt 100% effective though, some mosquitos are still getting inside the coops. I've added a fan at each of the 3 coops blowing air directly across the entrance and that has been totally successful keeping the coops mosquito free.
