Wash eggs?

Great advice on egg handling in the above posts - I usually don't wash mine and if they are really dirty I just cook an omelette for the dogs or keep them for a while for a batch of boiled eggs. The eggs I give away are labeled unwashed and the recipients know they last longer that way- I only give away the cleanest eggs and label the carton "UNWASHED FRESH EGGS". Many times they give me a donation for feed but I don't actually sell eggs to customers who are not already friends or co-workers so I've educated them on all this.

I don't wash mine so that they last longer.
Some people wash them right before using.

Hello! I personally do not wash mine and I like to refrigerate. I think it depends on the purpose. I know some people wouldn't care straight from the bum but some might or if you're giving/selling them. If selling, I've seem people label their cartons "unwashed" to let the recipient know.
