Washing a chicken?????

i am going to wash my golden sex link (lucy) ...... now i have washed her before but i was wondering ...... Can i use dog shampoo to wash her?????

I wash mine with natural unsented dish soap and have always had good results.

It would be pretty funny to watch a chicken to be washed. I personally feel like using people shampoo if its safe cause my little babies are my children (im 12

I used cat shampoo, because chickens & cats groom themselves.
Whatever you use - rinse very very well.

Shampoos or soaps designed for animal fur is going to be better than dish soap because it won't strip the natural oils from the feathers. Oatmeal shampoo is what I used on my silkie and it worked perfectly
