i have never heard of that before.

I worried alot about this when we got our first eggs last year and did alot of research. As with most things it seems there are lots of ideas and opinions about whether to wash, not to wash or how to do it!

You just have to research and then decided what you feel the most comfortable with.

I personally refridgerate mine straight from the coop as long as there is not visable poop on them. I rinse them under very HOT (as HOT as you can stand) water right before I cook them. This has worked for us so far!

Happy eating!

I rinse my dirty eggs in in hot water and no soap. The clean eggs I just towel them down and stick them in the basket. I have few ggs left over at days end and I pickle the rest

well obviously everyone does it different and they are all still ok. so i say whatever you feel comfortable if doing. if you dont want to put a poopy egg in the fridge than wash it or if you dont care wash it right before you cook it. there is no right or wrong and if so its not going to be a death sentence or we would of heard about it by now.
