I don't name them all at hatch or when I acquire them. If a name comes to mind or pops out at some point that's great. So I do have some that don't have names. I am learning after almost 5 years of having chickens, not to get quite so attached.

SoI am not supposed to be doing anything like being in the computer orthis kind of thing on my phone. My kitties tripped me while I was coming down the stairs this morning and I fell down like 6 of them hitting my head at the bottom on the hardwoods. I probably have a mild concussion and the doctor wants me to rest my brain. You can tell I listen well.

I am going to go now.

good grief Kim- I hoe you are okay and you have lots of headache pills- I've had a concussion, know the feeling well!. I've also got a cat that loves to lay down or walk right under my legs- the big fluffy one- he is making me crazy. I had a series of horrible falls, one right after the other, and I can {{{feel}}} your pain! So sorry- and hope you are not feeling horrid in the morning.

I think the stress of moving was a LOT for her, more than for some birds. Then fall hit and she decided to take the winter off. Oh well. She's not in any danger of being sold or gotten rid of. Yet. Bwahahaha

I don't understand my DH. He is begging me to tell him what I want for V Day, and I told him I don't want anything. Just like I didn't want anything for Christmas. I have him and our kids and that is enough. How do I make him NOT buy me anything?

tell him you want a flock of 100 cream legbars from the UK and some Bresse too. !!!

I've been looking at rice cookers, in particular one of the Zojirushi units because of the excellent reviews.
Only reason I haven't purchased is because of the Teflon coated inner bowl.
By stainless steel, do you mean the inside, outside or both?
If you are happy with your rice cooker, please tell me the brand and model.
I was going to PM you but maybe someone else on the board has experience with rice cookers that he or she wouldn't mind sharing with me.

I have a Lotus brand rice cooker- and the inside is stainless steel. (google it= easy to find). The outside is plastic, which keeps it cool.

It's probably the same rice cooker as the "miracle" brand rice cooker, with the lotus rice brand on it. I love it- it cooks well, is just the right size (3 quart) and cleans up easily. It's surgical steel quality. The one note- it's got a vent on the lid and you need to be sure the vent is not venting steam right in front of your cabinets- it will steam the finish right off. I "aim" mine away from the cabinets.

I did notice, when looking just now, that Wal-mart has an Aroma brand stainless interior cooker that looks alot like mine, except only $40. I would have been happy with that one, had it been available when I was looking.

There's no teflon or any other PFOA cookware in my house- just stainless, glass, and cast iron .

(There's also no Dow bath cleaner, air fresheners, fabric softener, pledge, etc, etc.... )
