Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

It sounds like they've taken on more animals than they can reasonably care for...
My orchids seem to thrive on neglect. At my old job we got a fresh centerpiece in the reception area every month and it always included a few potted orchids, so we took turns bringing them home. My have survived for 7+ years. I keep them in north and east facing windows and remember to water them every couple weeks or so. I put them in the sink and give them a good soak. They're potted in bark and are in orchid pots.
My bird dogs (Pointers, Lab, Golden Retriever) have been very good with my ducks and geese. My new Pointer pup is VERY interested in my Serama chickens, chicks, and ducklings, so I wouldn't trust him alone with them, but he leaves the adult waterfowl alone. I think it really depends on how you raise the pup and the individual dog. My current Pointer got WAY more interested in birds in general after we started him on birds and training for hunt tests. After he had that first quail in his mouth, he became obsessed!

And yeah, boxers aren't known for their brains. :)
I have had the most intelligent dogs in my life be """Bird DOGs""" which is in fact, anyone's description~~~~~~~~~~~ Mine were Labradors, and the English variety which are stocky, smart thinking dogs, and not the hyper active labs that are GROWN AND OVER BRED in the USA.
Labradors, in fact are not "Bird Dogs" but are in fact...Fishing Dogs" bred from the NewFoundland...yet American Breeders have bastardised this as well~~~~~~~~~~~~~
NEVER did my labs bother my birds, quite the contrary, they knew what they were meant to do and that was protect.

My main gal, Samantha took the pants leg off a sheriff's deputy who was about knocking on my door, despite my no trespassing signs...he actually sued me to pay for his uniform and I sued him back for trespassing.
let it be known::: Law Enforcement is NOT ABOVE THE LAW.
But my dogs have always been awesome, smart, thinking dogs.

She lives near me in Carnation, WA. I got a good chunk of her stock and she doesn't have any more to sell....I bought all she would sell me!

So my game plan to get the eggs from these hens and either sell them or hatch and sell or keep the chick to add to my flock.

Here is one of the roosters, he just got done crowing so was stretched out...
He has a very high tail set.
AKA: Squirel tail.

Just five minutes ago returned from the Spaghetti Dinner/Wine Tasting Fundraiser we host at the wine shop twice a year for underprivileged youth ages 4-17 that are displaced from their homes. We did really well and raised over $600 for them.
