Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

oh- also Carolyn, we buy GF flavorings and stevia, so have small brown glass bottles with glass droppers that I have saved for occassions like this. I probably have a dozen of the bottles- they are probably 3-4 tblsp size? ( 4 ounce? )

So I have a new bottle maybe I can help with this. I'm sick right now but this sounds good to me. I can sell it my the cc as long as you all have something to put it in.

chicken house progress- we've got 9 nest boxes made now (the bottom boxes shown without the bottoms in them). We made the nest boxes so you could remove the bottoms of each box- they slide out- in case you need to remove entire bottom to clean a mess.

then....here's another picture- close up of how we put roosts on:

the poop board on top is slanted on purpose. It was out of an old trailer we gutted. It's faux maple-finished laminate counter-top material.

We slanted it and are going to put a lip on the front with hinges, so we can flip the lip down to completely remove all the sand (thanks to the group for the sand/kitty litter idea). The slant will ensure the poop falls towards front for easy cleaning.

Wow, RainMom! Your coop is really on a grand scale!!! I'm very impressed (and just a weeeee bit jealous).

this was our $50 shed we got on Craigslist- then paid to move it.
The plywood was all free stuff and the other materials like dowels were things we found left at this house when we moved in. M
ore pics on the way- we got the window in (free/salavaged from CL) and got the saloon door cut for the hens to go in and out.
The shed is going to be an old west/western theme- stay tuned!

Oh, RainMom, we are kindred spirits! The only thing better than cheap is free! I would LOVE to own enough chickens to fill all those nest boxes. Mind you, we can't eat all the eggs our little flock gives us as it is, but I'd still love to have more chickens. (sshh...Don't tell my husband!)

Excellent Question! I haven't caught up yet so if this question has been answered already, let me know.
I would love it if 2 or more of us could split up a bottle of eprinex. Would you be interested? Would anyone else be interested? Maybe even if you have already purchase a lifetime supply and want to sell a portion of it???? Any interest anyone?

Yes please, I would LOVE to split a bottle. If a typical dose for a chicken is .5 ml and the bottle is 250 ml (the smallest you can get), I feel like it is like 4 times as much as I would ever need!

I'd LOVE to split cost and/or pay someone for like 50 ml! Having such a small flock, that's probably all I'd EVER need!

Your bird/s from me will be Eprinex'd already when you get them. I'm doing the 2nd dose on everyone tonight after they put themselves to bed. At least you know you won't have to do those until fall.

My allergies are haywire again; double Zyrtec and a Benadryl haven't quite taken care of it yet, eyes still gritty sand paper feeling and I'm coughing like crazy. That's what I get for cleaning up the whole chicken yard this afternoon.

I was just telling DH that what we REALLY need is a larger trailer, preferrably one with a tilt deck- because of all the stuff I need to haul home.

I softened the blow by mentioning it would be so handy for all the guy toys- 4-wheelers, boats, future sand rails or dune buggys (right? right??)

You could always get a couple extra chickens and donate your extra eggs to one of the seniors or shut ins, or poor folks out there.
I know Eatonville has a lot of need. DH would never notice, right?

if there aren't enough freebies to go around the Olympia food co-op has dropper bottles for around $1-$2. I'm guessing 1-2 fl oz.

I've got cc syringes and the dropper bottles ZGoatLady. Now I have a reason why we have got to get together.
In fact, we could probably "decant" small bottles of the stuff to split since I have lots of those bottles.

BTW- seems everyone is having sore throats lately- my son is power whining about it all day long today.
(Are we sure there's no chemtrails?)

holy cow- DH said there's 2 elk sleeping across from our driveway- gotta go take a peek...with camera in hand!
