This is how we get so many cartons- my son's school staff all bring cartons for him.
He's in a small school with only abut 50 kids, so the staff know him well- and they are his best egg customers

BTW Nikki- I love your teacher stories. I have a friend out in Eatonville who's mom is/was a political figure- (lives in a big log house- you probably know who I am talking about. ). I used to go out there to visit. LOVED the area!

Glad you like the stories. When you spend your days with kids, funny stories spring up like dandelions. I'm actually new to Eatonville, though, as we've only lived here a year and a half. Before that we were in Mineral for 16 years, and I still commute out into the hinterlands to work. I take my own kids with me, partly because I like their company on the drive, and partly because at my own school I have spies everywhere. That, and because at our little school we're doing some great things, and I want my kids to be part of it.

Wow...took awhile to get caught up tonight. Today was busy. Had to get a stall ready for the awesome pony that we found for the little guy. He is a Shetland, and he has the most awesome little personality I have ever seen in a pony. The little girl who has him now is 7 and grooms him completely herself, including cleaning his hooves. Score!! We will bring him home hopefully next weekend. Then, oldest DD came over with her boyfriend and visited for a bit. This was the first time meeting him and he is a really nice guy. That was very refreshing.
OK...will try again tomorrow. I was a little discouraged when they rejected it. Good to know it's not just me. Thank you!!

1/3 of an inch, my foot. My creek and pasture are saying otherwise. The hail was crazy big here too, my chicks were all standing inside the coop with their heads poking out watching. I didn't think to grab the camera before I went out to check on them. That is very sad about your tulips, they are one of my most favorite flowers.

Awesome!! I will try that when I give it another go tomorrow. Thank you!!

That is a beautiful kettle!! Thrift stores are the best! There is a new-ish Goodwill in Yelm that often gets some good stuff, but I really like to go to the smaller thrift stores too, because a lot of the time they are not as picked over as the bigger ones. I am currently on the hunt for old silverware and the Looney Tunes collector glasses from the '70's. I am making my herb markers with old spoons. The glasses I already have 2 of and want a full set, but the prices on Ebay are insane.
lilfarmmomma- if you post pics of what you are looking for, I'll keep an eye out. I really like the Goodwill store by us.
It's fun to go there and just wander around. I truly enjoy recycling, re-using, and re-purposing things.

Glad to be of help; it's a great locally-owned store, and although I'm glad I can go and smell the ambiance, they do a roaring mail-order business in both teas and tea paraphernalia.

I was going to point out that there's at least one dynamite tea place in Missoula, but driving US12 to get there isn't exactly a short trip, is it? It has the advantage of not having to deal with 90 across the interminable emptiness of Lincoln County (better in the daytime than at night, when the fact that there's fifteen minutes with no visible residential nor business lights gets sort of eery).

Where are you? I'm pretty sure I have some paper cartons at home I was about to chuck into the recycle bin. My BIL and SIL saved them for me thinking I'd need them. Won't be home for a week though. I have been reusing the plastic cartons I got from FlyRobinFly. My neighbors and friends have been good about giving them back to me and I just wash and reuse them. I think I've only lost 2 in the process of giving out eggs.
