Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Yup, it's gotten a lil crazy up this way today. I was supposed to be moving my daughters couch in the truck

yeah, that's not gonna happen.
Crazy what happened to the 70 degree + weather of easter? We need some sun.. We have so much to get done outside... coops n chickens n gardens need tending!

Thats funny I was going to go to Freds too to pick up some starts. I was planning on planting today...But decided against it. my three year old keeps asking mom are we gonna plant corn today??? Not in this weather I tell him.. UGH I need a green house and another cup of hot cocoa its cold out there!
My DH's employer has this special seating area arranged at Cheney Field today- and I am less than excited- seems that the deck is not covered or enclosed? This does NOT sound like any fun!

I've been planting vegetable starts in those big clear rectangular plastic containers you get costco-size spinach in. They make dandy mini-greenhouses for starting seeds. I'm going to start some non-GMO heritage corn soon. I want to know if my son and I could eat corn, without having severe reactions, "IF" if was NOT GMO. I am betting we could tolerate it.

Thanks! I'll check HH. I'm not quite sure what I need right now but it's great to know where to go.

I don't know any church groups or anyone that could help. Actually I don't have anyone to babysit either, my mom always does for me. His dads in south Korea with the army and I don't talk to or trust his family because they were abusive and are just plain crappy parents. So it's all on me right now..... The life of a single mom

I think I might buy plans and tweak them to fit what I want and need

that's a great idea thank you!
if you click on my profile and look at my photos, there's a pic of the tractor we built. I have a couple ideas I would change now, (back door open sideways, rather than drop-down, make coop taller so you can walk in, and put larger wheels on (which I always wanted, by DH was being very frugal the week we went to buy the wheels) Ours works very well for 4-6 chickens. Right now we have 16 chicks that are 6 weeks old in there, and they are doing well. I'll send you a PM with some links, etc.

Anyone looking for a young mixed breed rooster? otherwise I have to butcher him. He's a cochin/farm mix. He is fertile, however he is aggressive. he attacked my nephew (don't know the story behind it just know it happened).
Either he'll be soup, or if someone needs a rooster to protect their hens that is near Tenino send me a personal message. His butcher date is the 18th or next time he attacks my nephew whichever comes first.

I also went to Yelm's site. It is very confusing. It describes livestock to be chickens, but I could not find anything about livestock perse. I even tried the Zoning, and nothing. It is probably buried in a mass of regs that only the beauracrats have access to, as usual.
I even contacted Del's and yes they sell chickens but no they can't say anything about the legallity of having chickens. I read that as they don't want to have any shade of liability in this.
Don'tcha just love gvt types?
sorry i'm not on much, before i found it all i can find now is it's unlawful for them to be at large.
