Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

my ex was a drywall taper/finisher who had to do some amazing feats with cathedral ceilings. I still "think" like a taper. Since you have a window upstairs, you might be able to make a platform to hang outside the window to stand or sit on, or maybe just lean far enough out that you can aim a sprayer or use a long, long roller on a handle. The platform would be supported by 2x4's inside. Remember those drive-in restaurant trays they would hang over your car window ? ( Sonic, etc)? Something like that. I can make a sketch....

That is one thing we are working on !

here- terrible drawing- and just edited so that you can see better (I realized the drawing didn't clearly show some detail):
Excellent idea...we are on to it.
The T-111 is 4x10 sheets, so 10' downstairs, 3 feet of foundation & subfloor (13) then 10 feet upstairs (23) and another 4 foot patch of T-111 on the very peak (so 25-28 feet all total)
It is TALL !!

The old homes with the hip roofs had a main beam at the top that stuck out. You could and my Dad did suspend from it to paint and do repairs. Could you cut an access to attic, then add a top vent on the end near the peak for this?
Great build by the way! I can't wait to see the finished product or nearly finished- are we ever realy finished?
We did not put a crow's beak on this barn...I soooooooooooooooooooo wanted to, but DH elected not to....now he is sorry !!

This is Dano's Barn & it has a Crow's Beak, but did not install the beam.

Gave the girls some organic wheat grass today, they love it. Have a great day everyone
It is awesome here too !
Me thinking of doing the razor dig Saturday morning....sounds like fun if the weather is still this nice !

OK so I have to ask this silly question. How are ya gonna get up there to put the siding on? Would the same way work to paint it or paint before putting up?
Siding has all been put on already...we had the roofing cont' do it cuz we rented a scaffold to do the roof & siding, 2-3 months ago, it was $800. a month to rent...but has long since been returned.

Teehee, it's so cute and perfect! I put the babies underneath and will put Lucy in the top later. Need to figure out a waterer for her, that's it!

The outdoor run of our chicken coop is finally complete and we will be letting the chickens outside this Saturday. I plan to have my husband open up the door for them each morning @ 7am and I will go out there each night by 9pm and make sure they all get back inside and close the door up. Anyone have any tips or suggestions for keeping my ladies happy & healthy :)
Close coops before it gets dark...the woozels & possums and coons is out at dark...and owls and rats.......Mink can get your birds anytime in broad daylight, as can birds of prey.
Be careful !
