Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Hey Everybody!

This is so cool to see so many chicken enthusiasts in Washington- I'm glad to start out my chicken days in a state that has friendly, welcoming chicken folk like you guys :)
I just got started with a batch of 9 Blue Ameraucana eggs (Of which only 1 hatched so far! :< ) and a week ago picked up 5 Buff Orpington babies.
I'm finishing up building my coop and run in my backyard with my family, and we're really stoked to start our first summer with chickens!

I hate to be the person who starts out their first post with a question, but are any of you guys Ameraucana breeders here in the Puget sound area? I see a lot of Ameraucana fans out in middle/eastern washington, but almost nothing near me!

Looking forward to being a part of this community :)

I didn't know there was powdered Corid. That would be easier to store. I just know that the Dels has been bad for me. I went in last time looking for Eprinex and as soon as I said the word chicken they were trying to tell me I just needed the powdered antibiotic because it would work better.
I know that Wilco Farm Stores carries it.

Hi there, glad you joined us. And yes, there are Ameraucana breeders around the Puget sound area, just can't remember who offhand. But, as soon as people read your post, someone will let you know!

When my eggs hatch, and feather out they can use either of these in a small run tractor thing Im building. Im SO BUSY!!!!!!!! Im praying for rain at this ppint! LOLOL Thank you.

Well, you know, I guess it makes sense for me to build the outside brooder tomorrow even though I'm going to put most of the chicks on craigslist as soon as I'm 100% sure that I've IDed all the pullets (hah), since I'll also be starting as many eggs as I can put in the incubator Tuesday or Wednesday.

Hooray for logic!

There are a few breeders that are part of this thread and just peeps that have Ameraucana's. Where about are you located that will help with where to send you. Is there a particular type that you'd prefer.

Thank you so much for the reply, I appreciate any help I can get! Right across the water from Seattle, in Port Orchard is where I live. I honestly don't mind driving a little ways to find a good breeder, but not terribly far of course.
Blue Ameraucanas are the birds that I'm rather infatuated with- they're terribly lovely, in my opinion
