Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Does anyone know how much 1 Bielfelder would lays in a week from Greenfire? And I know that this sounds silly but is the long egg=roos short egg=hen thing real? And hva you tried it in the Extremes? I've always been curious about the two last Questions!

No you can't sex eggs by shape. Hens will lay the same general shape their whole life. That is how I can tell who's egg is who's on my hens.

well closed up the girls for the night and my other half ws threatening them with fried chicken... funny thing was right after he said it my hen that is coming off being broody went in there lol...I wondeer if we'll get an egg tonight lol

Hooray! Got our first egg in 3 months today! I'd like to say it was all my high-tech lighting, but I'm sure there were other factors involved too :)

It was a good chicken day. Found a place about half the distance that I usually travelled to buy my feed (ScratchNPeck). Etta, the Fav with bumble foot is doing MUCH better (bandages off, hard to see where I did the surgery). She still walks a little weird sometimes, but it's 100% better than what it was.

I changed the sand in the coop last weekend as well, and even though it doesn't look too much different, it smells MUCH better in there. :)

Why not buy from local breeders and skip the cost and hassle of postage, and support locals? There are a lot of possibilities. What breeds are you getting?

I'd be fine with that if I can find anyone. We want some version of EE's and some more Orp's.

I have a ton of EEs - both blue and green egg layers. I will be selling chicks the middle of February and probably again in March or early April. My chicks are bred with egg production in mind and also egg color. Probably no olive eggers this time, but there will be in the future. My chicks will be straight-run of course. Parents are Ameraucanas and crest cream legbar as well as other prolific egg laying breeds such as Rhode Islands, Plymouth Rock and Australorps. Located in South King County, but you'll save shipping costs!
