I've had them for 3 years. Getting them at first was a challenge and then getting correct color was too. Now that I have an all cream flock it should be smoother. The chickens are delightful. Great personalities and easy to keep. I've had a few aggressive roosters that got culled. The boys I have now are sweet.

Reading these posts makes me so impatient to get peepers of my own.

Clean a raised bed some more, added some amendments and soil to top it up, and planted peas and salad greens. Not to bad for today.

I'll be putting new straw in the main pen this afternoon. That needs it so very bad. Thankfully I just need to toss chunks around in there. The birds will spread it out.
