Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Is anyone in western Washington interested in co-purchasing a group of White Sport Legbars? A member here has white sport legbars that may be available in 5 weeks or so. I only need 1 pullet which would be impossible to ship, but if I could get someone to go in together on several.......?
Any interest?
You could buy a boxfull and then sell the extras.

I have several standard cream legbar pullets available, one has gold hackles.though and shouldn't be used for breeding. I also have 2 white sport cockerels that my daughter insisted we keep but I would be happy to part with. I have been selling hatching eggs and fertility is very good. Please message me if interested. I don't get through all the posts on this forum very often.

There is someone on craigslist offering to process and package chickens for $8 each. Does that seem like a fair price? I'm thinking about what to do with all the cockerels I couldn't give away. Not interested in processing them myself, but I hate to see them go to waste.

Check with local butchers. I googled and quite a few came up!

You have to weigh the cost of a whole pkg chicken, organic or not, against that cost...add in that you have to drive to the store and then not know how the bird was raised, how old it was at butcher, and what it was fed... Do you have to bring the birds to him? If so what is your guarantee you receive your bird back? Or is he mobile and comes to you? If the convenience is worth the cost, then go for it... I would pay it...if I have my dh do it he skins them, and I like my chicken skin!
