And learn to spell Delawares.
The best Delawares have been coming from California....sorry.
Last trip was a horde of dellies from Oregon to NorCal...for CapayValleyGirl...awesome birds !

All in all, Delawares do not turn my prop much...I am pretty much done with white birds of any breed, and historic breeds even more so....

Also wanted to add: If Luanne is raising a breed, she does an awesome job of it. I also wanted to add that I was not trying to be mean to you about spelling, it takes time to learn.
I STILL spell Ameraucana backwards sometimes=deslexia I suppose, so I want to spell it= Ameracauna...LOL Makes pips&peeps mad !

Ameraucana also has no 'i' in it.
And I am so happy I have never gotten the Delawar bug...after raising so many many breeds, never has the Delaware bug got me. Closest that came to white birds were light Brahmas, then Rhode Island Whites, and never never ever will I raise a white bird again !
Not in this clay mud !
It was awful on the Cochins too...birds were covered in clay dingle balls...clacking as they walked...I had to cut all their cushion shank & feet feathers off !

It looks like some people misunderstood that Allosaurusrocks doesn't want hatchery birds. Birds from local breeders are usually better quality, healthier, have better living conditions and don't have to go through the stress of being shipped by USPS. Feed stores (including Baxter Barn) get all their chicks from the hatchery, too.

I commend Allosaurus for looking for local birds. Nice job! You can find decent birds on BYC and also craigslist. People don't necessarily sell low quality "culls" on Craigslist. I know a lot of people that just like to hatch eggs and sell all their chicks to help pay for bedding and feed. I can't think of any breeds you are going to get from a hatchery that are better quality than buying from a local breeder.

me too, but if you look, there is a reason,,, I get hives (welts) and derma grafica, from WIND ON MY SKIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In other words, the sensation of wind on my skin can welt me...
So the mast cell is a right on diagnosis !

Wow crazy! I have dermagraphism too... Never been officially diagnosed but I had looked it up a long time ago... I easily welt up from scratches and scrapes... Not the wind tho. Sorry to hear that but happy you have a diagnosis.
