Enough to cover the ground and make it white. I was to tired to take a picture. It had just started a bit after 4am when Athena demanded to go outside. She came back in with snow and rain on her back. Zeus never goes far from the house at night so he was only wet.

My dog (Black Lab) used to give us a weather report in that same manner...if she came back in wet, it was raining...if she came in with snow on her, we knew it was snowing !
We got in the habit of saying WEATHER REPORT really loud as we went to open the door for her, LOL!

We got our first bit if snow too

The boys were out making a snowman by 8. I think they have really been missing the snow the last few years. It reeked havoc on my coop and run though (pulled down the netting, got everything and everyone wet in the coop). But my girls didn't seemed too bothered by it (besides being a bit chilly this morning, I don't blame them). I think we have rectified the situation (at least for now). And I got to watch two girls trying to climb into the same nesting box to lay their eggs. Oh silly chickens!

I'm having chicken and vegetable soup tonight. It should be good with this cold weather. Plus there is one less cockerel to wake me up in the morning.

Once all the young boys are gone it will be pretty quiet. Louie, Pumpkin, and Duke just do a few crows and are done. Fairly quiet boys.
