Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Clearly those of you commenting negatively have NEVER dealt with food allergies or intolerances. It's not by choice that we eat the way we do. We were quite happy in our old lifestyle, minus the horrendous eczema that plagued every square inch of my dear children and the constant throwing up and diarrhea. Yeah...I'd rather eat the way my body needs to eat to be happy and healthy.
Easy Jess. It's all in fun. While yes I don't have to deal with the food issues you do. Due to DW being diabetic I have a different issue to deal with. I have to look at foods and guesstimate the carbs. I also have to be able to snap calculate how much insulin to dose. Yeah this kind of stuff sucks but it's life. Ya just gotta go at it like eatin an effaneffalant! One bite at a tyme!!!

I think they are all just joking.

We know you have major food allergies and feel bad that you have to think so hard about what you are eating everyday.

Sorry if you felt the joking was done in a mean way. Hope you can take it all in fun.

Finally caught up again!

Nikki, I hope your injured chicken is doing all right, and you don't have any predators returning.

Renee, too bad you didn't make it to the museum yesterday, we had our educator open house and lots of special programs were running. I did Robot Garage for four hours, I bet your DS would have loved to build a rover or two!

Hope everyone is well.

Oh, man! BUMMER!

I just went here today and bought ten for $100.00
They are very nice plants.
I been looking all spring and summer to add to my others and this is the best deal yet for price, size, health.
Just for fun I got three of the pink berries to confuse my neighbors as they walk by as my plants are out by the road.
I will now have 18 BB plants which should get us enough berries to make it through winter in another two years.
If you aren't familiar with blueberry plants it is very important to buy the biggest you can get as the ones from like Lowes, HD, are so small they take 6 years to get this size.
This is the Snohomish Nursery right off the 88th street exit into Snohomish take a left on 92nd.

I've have hundreds of 3 & 5 gallon blueberries, all grown here in washington. There are 18 different types, all in which grow excellent here in washington. The blueberries plants are 3ft to 4ft in heigth and approximately 14" wide and are producing nicely. The blueberries either produce early (june), midseason (july) or late (august). These sizes of blueberries are hard to find and now ready for the fall planting season. Asking $12 each, will provide volume discounts on ten or more, just let me know how many you may want and i'll give you a price. Please email if interested and please leave phone number.

-Pink Lemonade (late midseason)(self pollinating)

I don't know about Jessica's kids... but my daughter's entire lower half of her body was the nastiest looking, bloody (because she scratched all the time) mess of eczema that I've ever seen. It was horrible, and cost us countless hours in the doctors office, with numerous baffled doctors. After she ate Cashew Chicken (her first exposure to cashews), and ended up in the hospital, we learned she had nut allergies. She hasn't had ANY eczema ever since she stopped eating nuts of all kinds.

Even when I was nursing - she had eczema. BUT, I used to eat nuts frequently as a protein source (before I found out I was allergic to peanuts and walnuts). My reaction to nuts is no where near what my kid's reaction is, but the doc said I could get there quickly, so I can't eat nuts, either, now.

For those with EGG ALLERGIES !!!! Check out (dare I say it) Duck eggs. Many people who can't eat chicken eggs can eat duck eggs or quail eggs. I can tell you I have eaten duck eggs and if somebody fed em to ya you wouldn't know the difference.
