Bring water to boil. Slide in eggs and simmer 10 minutes. Immediately drain and gently crack eggs, then run cold water over them.

This is the method I use for fresh laid eggs. Nothing special needed. Just crack before the cold water.

I do have a hen who's eggs have a membrane that sticks hard. Her eggs get used for scrambled or baking.
I had tried that and made a total mess of the eggs so
I heard this lemon thing here or maybe facebook I really
am not sure but even stopped on the way home last
night we went to dinner so had to stop to get to
the lemon to try

Thanks! Nope, no grandchildren (I'm 33). These girls belong to a friend of mine who offered to raise up my chicks for the first month. Less work for me while I'm recovering from surgery, Easter treat for the girls! I was just visiting today. :D

so we are not all old giggle.. nice to be able to do though for a neighbor

I hope the surgery was not serious and your recovery speedy..

I will have to try that next time, I have a bugger of a time pealing hard boiled fresh eggs!
 
Thanks. I had a massive breast reduction, went down 8 cup sizes. Still healing but back feels much better now!
Those are hard choices glad it went well mine have been much more mundane

my last was called decompression surgery on both eyes trying to save my vision cant even see where it was done my surgeon was super
