Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

There are a few people around here who do occasionally have large animals that need slaughtered, but the odds of having enough people around here with animals that need processing all at the same time to make a trip worthwhile for the mobile butchers is slim. Most won't make the trip for just a couple pigs or goats.

that is the real bugger getting enough to make it worthwhile
I am up to 3 egg customers now getting 13 eggs a day

I was surprised to find a couple huge eggs in the nest box tonight when I got home. I put them in my pocket. That was my first mistake. The second mistake was trying to put my one chicken up on the roost, she's the one that has been wanting to sleep in the nest box. Long story short I now have a really GUI pocket and no big eggs.

Are usually don't have a problem. But this chicken is the one that was sick last week and I think she just doesn't like to be near the others when she's molting. If I put her on the roost she stays there all night. I was so mad at myself. Stupid stupid stupid thing to do. But oh well. I will live. In the big scheme of life it's not a big deal but I still feel stupid :)

I'm not sure who hasn't broken an egg in their pocket. I still put them in my pockets sometimes. We will be walking through a store and I pull an egg out of my pocket

You can just barely see the ghosting of chipmunk stripes on it's back. This little chick has a huge vaulted skull. Hubby was surprised and commented on it at hatch. I'm just hoping it's a girl
