Well I have to say at least I had eggs after the weekend trip to see my parents. Looks like several girls have started laying again finally.

ClASSIC, AND SO LOVING & ADORABLE...UNLIKE THE PYRANEES, THESE DOGS love EVERYBODY, THE PYR DOES not LOVE EVERYBODY, QUITE NOT...THE PYR IS A FLOCK GUARDIAN & LOVES ITS FLOCK...WETHER IT SHEEP, CHICKENS, GOATS, LLAMAS....

We do not seem to have any type of predators or having the gsd Fear and Snow our pyr pup
also our Labrador Moose drives them off

me either when it is such a work but used it heavily in business and life in general
still do... really did not mean it as a slam I love her photo's almost makes me want a silkie

Old eggs ? how do you end up with old eggs?

2 of us and two dogs. 40 hens though I think the max possible is around 29 since a lot of the big girls are coming up on 6 years old. I do sell the big eggs, but we get more silkies eggs than we can eat sometimes.

10 silkies are off laying right now either broody or raising chicks. 7 are laying and one of the two pullets just laid her first egg Thursday.

The big girls are almost done with molts and starting to lay again.

I can't paint like Chickielady and I just dabble with the photography for fun.

It helps that I have a real camera as the cell phones can't take as good of quality. I can snap what is basically the same photo seconds apart with both and you can tell the difference. I am tempted to get a new camera since this one is a decade old and they have improved. Mom's point and shoot is going so she will get this one if I do. Well minus the big telephoto lenses since those will work for the newer model Rebel as well.

Takes 3 to make a big egg. Most are peewee. The really big ones will just touch on the small size.
