My plucker can't do bunny either !

I don't have a garage so stuck with chicks inside right now. That's why they are getting a coop outside the bathroom window. I can run power out the window.

Had my first escapee today. Distressed peeping so I went to see what was wrong. The chick sitting in the middle of the bath rug came towards me when it saw me.
All of you are cracking me up !

My cats would eat any babies I had in the house...I have raised several dozen in the huge shower in the upstairs bath, rarely used.

Not this year !

I am behaving myself

@junebuggena how many bunnies did you hatch so far & get put to freezer camp ? Just wondering how the investment is going so far....how often do you cook rabbit, what recipes do you like best ?

Make sure he is not too big for the does...like dogs, if the male is huge, it can be difficult if not impossible for the does to pass the giant babies through the birth canal.
We found out the hard way when we have a Flemish giant buck and though it would be great to have bigger babies....the California Does had no problem birthing the Flemish babies, but the smaller does like the New Zealands did on occasion.
We lost a few does that way

My does are easily 5 pounds larger at this point. He's 6 months old, and still growing. He'll be a bit bigger than the girls, but not by much.

Hooray !
Mine have quit for winter & not started back up yet.

Any Bucklings to be sold for meat ?
Or is it too early or too late ?

Your a few weeks too early ;) I will put another bug in the owners ear if we have any available this year. Are you interested in bottle babies or do you need them weaned first?
