Haha! Me too. Try havin TEN 8 week old chicks still in your living room!
All of you are cracking me up !I don't have a garage so stuck with chicks inside right now. That's why they are getting a coop outside the bathroom window. I can run power out the window.
Had my first escapee today. Distressed peeping so I went to see what was wrong. The chick sitting in the middle of the bath rug came towards me when it saw me.

My cats would eat any babies I had in the house...I have raised several dozen in the huge shower in the upstairs bath, rarely used.
Not this year !

My does are easily 5 pounds larger at this point. He's 6 months old, and still growing. He'll be a bit bigger than the girls, but not by much.Make sure he is not too big for the does...like dogs, if the male is huge, it can be difficult if not impossible for the does to pass the giant babies through the birth canal.
We found out the hard way when we have a Flemish giant buck and though it would be great to have bigger babies....the California Does had no problem birthing the Flemish babies, but the smaller does like the New Zealands did on occasion.
We lost a few does that way
