she had them like almost a week doing well then boom she left them both died

We have almost 2 on the ground but heavy and wet girls and blue coming out as their ground is wet

Good luck with the naughty one.

Yes Son, he had hair past his shoulders!
I love his long hair!

So the snow weight bent the steel poles supporting the kennel roofs on two pens. I had to literally dig chickens out. Two hens were soaked and very traumatized out in the open. Two others were almost as bad but had a little shelter. The other three birds in that pen were trapped in the house. The wet girls had a vacation in the bathtub until they dried. They got food and cheese, then out into Ashes' pen. That pen is very full right now with 18 silkies. Everyone is very warm in the house though. Ashes and Raditz are the only two roosters that don't try and kill each other.

The bachelors fared a bit better. Their house caught most of the weight so they could just squeeze in and out and had a little space to move. They got to go live with the large fowl girls for now. Plenty of room there. The poor confused boys. 6 of them tried to hide in corners for bed. One was smarter and climbed in one of the big unused nest boxes. I moved the other boys over with him.

I should be able to salvage enough good poles to get one pen roofed again as soon as we have more melting. I have two spare poles to replace damaged ones.

The cats wanted out this morning. Leia saw white and turned around at the door. Luke went out and I had to go out and get him after a few minutes as he was lost and becoming a snowball.
