I clip the wings on my Easter Eggers to make sure they don't go over the fence but then I only have a 3' high fence between them and the Orpingtons. Right now they are with the ducks but we put in a pond this weekend so I need to move them out to keep them from thinking they can walk on water.

My girls graduated to
a smaller but better furnished home today.
Malificent got out of her tub and her sisters tried to follow.
Thier new Diggs have a perch and much higher walls.
I also raised thier water.

Our Easter Eggers may be going in the chicken tractor temporarily until we can build more fences to separate them from the ducks. There are only two hens but their daughters have been in the Silkie pen and now that they are laying they will need to move in with their own kind. They will still get to free range under supervision but I need to make sure they don't drown in our new duck pond.

you are fine no problem here :lau I have been trying to get my girls out of the mud hole into the d-funct
garden for 4 months... I do not want to work in the rain so do not ask my BF to work in the rain
What has it done the last 4 months Rain or snow :rant

I am still letting the chickens in the garden but it will be time to restrict them soon in order to start planting.

The next week or so, I am busy building the original pig pen, and then branching out & have to build their shelter...................we are getting 3 red herford weaners from  @RedReiner
and I am VERY excited about it ! I have not had piggies in about 20 years but they say its like riding a bike, right ???

YUMMY weather !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got my peas in !!!!!!!!!!!!

I think my overwintering fuschias have met their match this winter......................:(

And Wednesday I have a pip of Exchequer leghorns........what awesome birds they are !!!!!!!!!!!

I was wondering if it was getting warm enough to plant the sugar peas. It feels so warm when the sun is shining but then the temperature dips overnight and I think I better wait. I need to put in a new trellis since I took their trellis for some climbing roses instead.
