Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

I have morning glory. Hate it! Tried to get rid of it for years! There are tons of cottonwoods along the river. I may go pick some and make some salve.

Isn't there a Polish breeder here on this thread? I've been looking for west coast hatching eggs and can't find them anywhere. Just bantams, and they won't work here. Anyone know? I have 5 buff orpington chicks, 1 lavender orpington, 2 easter egger, and 5 buff brahma 2 day old chicks. My 8 week old chicks are Whiting True Blue and Black Copper Marans. I'm hesitant to sell any because people are buying out the feed stores of chicks and I'm afraid of what will happen to the chicks.

Hey morning had one gal stop said she was from La Center wanted birds to butcher..
I told her I have mutts ready to hatch would sell her cockerel then suppose to have some hatching next couple days I am uncertain of Polish breeders here local might have one connection to try

Hello! I am new. But not new. I was here years ago when I was raising ancona ducks. I stopped for a few years while I didn't have a space to do so. And I'm looking to get back to it.
I was SO blessed last time to get 3 ducks free (with a pool.) And was able to hatch and raise several of my own, after that, as well.
But I think this time I'll likely have to go a more conventional route and buy things. Haha. Does anyone have any local leads? I'm not opposed to shipping ducklings but I'd love to hop in with some layers ASAP too.

I don't know where you're located, but I have 5 baby ducks (Blue Swedish and Cayuga), and if any turn out to be drakes, I will rehome them.

I hope everyone is avoiding the virus.

New meat chicks arrived this morning! :)

Many arrived I have birds hatching down here these are mutts EE to EE

I tried hatching last year and it was terrible. :( I put 14 eggs Ayam Cemani eggs under a broody Chantecler and only 1 made it out alive. We called her Lucky (and she was #13 too). 10 hatched, but I found 9 kicked out of the nest box still wet. :( Lucky only made it because I happened to check on her just as she came out of the last bit of shell and immediately put her in the brooder.

All this to say -- I envy your chick hatching skills. :)
