Thank you! I will bookmark this & check it out. I just ordered a bunch of Tattler reusable canning lids. A friend from Backyard Herds shared the information with me, I haven't used them before. Hopefully they will be here within the next couple of weeks, not sure I would use them for this application. Now I just need to find some wide mouth 1/2 pints, I haven't seen any.

Don't use Tattler for fish. The smell would never come out and I'm not sure how much the oils would interfere.

I use them for jams but do have more failures with them.

That is good thought I did not think of that you might get lids off Amazon

check the feed store for lids as well. Most carry some canning supplies.

oh Winco does get lids in occasionally so check there sometimez.

I'm hording my regular mouth lids as I may need them for next year. Im not regretting going a bit overboard on buying them. I was making sure I had enough.
