the green eggs are all going well, I thought the eggs from the right carton, (diff farm) were not fertile, I removed the eggs, but then later thought maybe they still are. I opened some of the eggs on the right. The ones I opened didn't look fertile. I will know by Fri-sat.

I'm REALLLLLLLYYYYY not interested in dealing with chicks (yes, I know they're cute, but that's just more than I want to tackle). But, we're wanting to add to our flock. In the past, we've been able to find pullets fairly easily, but it seems with the run on chicks these days, no one is selling pullets (they're all getting sold as chicks). That said, I figured I'd check here if anyone knows of any up for grabs? Pretty flexible on breed and egg color--more interested in consistent laying and disinclination towards broodiness. I'm in Tacoma, but willing to travel an hour or two to pick up at least 2-3 girls.

I’m thinking that some people buying chicks now will be selling them as started pullets in a few months. I too can’t do the chick part, so keep looking here and at your local Facebook and Craigslist. I’ve managed to find point of lay pullets when I’ve wanted them so I hope you can too.

I do hope we stay that way. Tomorrow my bud is suppose to be here with olive eggs to hatch. I am getting a dozen eggs so bigger incubator will go with them.

The rain is supposed to return to my area on Wednesday and stay for the foreseeable future according to weather.com. Until then just scattered showers which are okay.

Is this thread devoted exclusively to chickens? I have a bunch of runner duck drakes that need to be rehomed. I'm near Sequim on the north Olympic Peninsula. Anyone interested?
