Good Morning Weather guessers say rain on Monday.

Haha! I saw that too. Supposed to be a possible 0.15" where I'm at. We'll see what happens, I guess.

I added a couple more beer box nests to my run and coop today. When I went to the run at 9AM there was a pair of pullets trying to fit into the single box to lay. Later I saw one egg in the nest, another on the floor. Now they have three boxes to choose from, each with a big fake egg in it for inspiration.

I have always had fake eggs ceramic, recently bought wooden ones think the girls where not impressed.

Oh wont this be so, so very nice. Everything is going to get the dust washed off. Off and on rain through to tomorrow morning.

My girls kicked the golf balls out when I tried them. Brown, not white, ceramic eggs have worked because some of them have laid brown in the past. They were getting nest box picky again and I found some ameraucana blue eggs. Those totally helped get them using them all again

Lost my old lady hen yesterday. She'd been going downhill for the last couple weeks where I knew it was coming soon. She had her scratch in the morning and was dead under the roosts where it looked like she'd gone to nap in the evening. 12.5 years old. Her best friend passed 2.5 years ago.
