I saw the end of a very grim edition of this-treasure's-mine-you-can't-have-it when I drove up just a few minutes ago.  I didn't see what it was that they were so into having for themselves, but when I entered the pen I found Pine Siskin feathers scattered liberally around.  What lovely creatures chickens are, yeah?

Oh no! That would be disturbing. But hey, chickens do love to eat meat. Sorry the Pine Siskin got in their path. They are so darn cute. ~Dee~

They actually eat them?  Ooo.. that's not good.  Chasing the tweety birds is one of my big girl's favorite daily activities.  And here I've been laughing at their antics - thinking it was funny.  I didn't have a clue chickens actually ate tweety birds.  I'll have to keep a closer watch on making sure they don't catch one.

Lets get this down, once and for all: CHICKENS WILL EAT ALMOST ANYTHING. And if they're being pestered by tweetybirds, they will smack them down and then decide they've made a nice protein treat.

Since I no longer have any desire to put up any Christmas decorations. A friend really enjoys decorating for Christmas. So I am taking my inflatable yard decorations to Toni / Kayla. I figure let somebody get some joy from them. See we went to Toni's last week and while there she asked me to help her put up outdoor lights. Seeing how she enjoys the whole thing I decided she needed some things to fill the empty spaces in her yard.

Final hatch of the Sheryl Butler Silkie eggs six. Grandson is loving on them and named three.

Big Foot. Taking a snooze.

Little Miss Peggy is adorable.

Grandson is 2 1/2 and he insists this chick is named Eggy Poo. I can't say this chicks name without smiling.
