I will never forget the time I grabbed my father-in-laws Brylcream and thought it was toothpaste in my sleepy state. Talk about a quick wake-up! Yuck!!!! In my 60's so most of those things are of my time. Chatty Cathy was my nick name as a kid. Nothing worse than being named Kathy and verbally blessed as a child. Chatty Cathy. My mother used to say I never met a stranger and I was vaccinated with a phonograph needle.

Is that what causes it. I have had it also. It was the kind of trip that kept me scared of taking hard drugs. Couldn't crawl across the floor. Eyes darting back and forth. Room spinning. Not pretty!
There are other causes, but that's what did it for me. The sinus thing (which is very rare for me) caused me to lose 95% of the hearing in my right ear for about a week. I went to an audiologist in Poulsbo and they sent me to PT for the vertigo. The darting eyes was a big part of what they looked for in diagnosing it. It worked wonders and I was mostly "cured" by the time I left the PT appt. Thank goodness mine wasn't nearly as bad as what you went through... My Heavens! If that ever happens again, get it taken care of QUICK, it was SO easy!
