I don't think the DE at Del's is food-grade, though (she says from Lacey). There's a place in Tenino that looks as if it's the best local source. I got tired of trying to get things together locally and ordered fro Amazon.

I saw DE at Wilco today in a 4# bag for about $30. I think Cenex in Poulsbo sells is in much larger bags for a more reasonable price per pound. If you buy some somewhere else I'd love to know where you get it and the price.

Wilco is the worst for DE. Best price I have found, thanks to FirewifeJess, is at Coastal Farm and Ranch. 50# bag in Oregon city was $22

I've gotten my DE from Del's in Puyallup. When I first got chickens almost 2 years ago they weren't carrying it regularly and had to special order it. They had gotten enough requests that they finally started to carry it regularly. My 50 lb. bag has lasted me quite a while now, but when I asked them to start carrying it I told them it needed to specifically be food grade. Can't recall what I paid, but it seems it was around $20...
