REALLY? WOW! No wonder all my MOPSNext moms were hot on my trail to sell eggs to them. They buy organic foods. Too bad I don't have enough chickens or eggs to fill orders.

I love a good conversation...but I'm a bit worried about having the kids with me and actually being able to hold a conversation. We'll see how it goes. I might break my cardinal rule ONE time and bring the iPad to give to them to play on in the restaurant just so I can think straight. Gah! I HATE technology moms who don't teach their kids to exist amongst other humans but give them devices to shut them up instead. OK. I talked myself right outta that idea LOL

I wouldn't necessarily call all moms who do that technology moms .  I used to think that way, but now that I'm raising 2 boys on the spectrum, I have had to change my ways of thinking.  We actually do that with our boys if we need them to be quiet in situations where we need them to be quiet.  Kids on the spectrum really struggle in situations that are new, noisy or different to them.  My boys almost never play their DS games at home, but, most doctors appts. or places that they struggle with, the DS will come along.  My oldest struggles in stores - if we have to go to Costco or someplace similar, the DS will come with him.  People will look at us oddly because I will have an 11-year-old in the cart with a DS - but I know how bad the stares could be if he wasn't.  For some reason, the lights or noises in that particular store can set him off.

I remember when my oldest's special needs preschool class went to the Supermall play area.  A kid that was there was being mean to the other kids.  The special needs teacher made a smart remark about that kid, and then stopped herself.  She looked at me and commented that she didn't know that kid, she teaches special needs kids, and who was she to think that just because she didn't know that kid, didn't mean that kid didn't have special needs of his own.  For me, that was a moment of realization of how easy it is to judge others when we really don't know or understand their situation.

Ok Renee I'll give you that. I agree. BUT, you also have to remember the completely degenerate world we live in and I know even you see the degradation of the family and parents DO use their technology as a babysitter. With the exception of YOU, my friends who do this instead have no reason to do it. They simply don't want a fight with their kid in public, so they hand them the phone or iPad or DS. Instead of teaching, training, and discipline, most parents take the cop out way and hand over the electronics. At least...this has been my experience in life. In our home, the kids do chores and work as part of the family, they are taught how to behave in public by being taken in public a lot, even at my own inconvenience a lot of the time. And I'm not bashing what you do. I see your life and know you're doing a good job

Lord help me to get something done today! Can't seem to pull myself away from my cinnamon/honey water and The Andy Griffith Show! We keep talking about canceling TV since we have Netflix and could get HuluPlus but we keep putting it off! It's like a horrible addiction!!! Well maybe it's just procrastination

Minus the cough, I'm feeling OK today so hopefully I will accomplish some tasks. Need to spend time with the chickies!!!!

Ok, Pro Bowl shirt did not make it into laundry, so I will have on my Son's Army Platoon shirt, it's black.

Uh oh, so if Renee isn't coming I would also assume Jessica is not coming either? Bummer. I will have the eggs with me.

And... thanks Travis. And thanks CR for intercepting them for me. Got to get them some way - the teacher loved the project idea and told my son if he documented the project well, he will receive an "Exceeds Standard" grade for it.

No. She won't be either. Sorry Jess for having to cancel last minute.

Fingers crossed we are not dealing with the flu. She's had a flu shot, but I haven't. So far, it is just a fever.

Nice DW's DD just called. Wanted to know if her mom would like to go to town with her. Of course on a day we have things going on. See she only lives about 3 miles away and I frequently tell her that her mom would love to go to town with her etc but no she can't be bothered. Of course a day when we have plans is when she finally calls!!!

What does the ACV do?

Putting a glug(teaspoon-tablespoon) in a gallon waterer helps create a hostile gut environment to help keep cocci, parasites, worms, etc from thriving and causing serious problems. It does not treat these things, just helps prevent. But it must be unpasteurized, unfiltered Apple Cider Vinegar

Night all, see those of you going to the South meet-up tomorrow. I will likely be wearing my Pro Bowl t-shirt(blue). And don't be shocked if I don't carry conversations. I am horrible at the face to face conversations, at least starting them. Tomorrow will be a stretch out of my comfort zone. But I want to meet y'all.

Ahem... yep, it would be the man in the pink mask. I'm SO BUMMED! DD woke up with a fever. Thanks to CR for helping me by picking up the eggs. I should have figured something was up with her. Last night when I got back from taking my oldest son to basketball, her twin brother told me she spent the entire hour and a half that I was gone screaming and crying that Mommy left her. Usually she's a Daddy's girl, but Daddy wasn't good enough last night. I kind of brushed it off that she was trying to get attention because her twin brother has been so out of sorts the last few weeks. We're not exactly sure what's up with him, but he has been having a sub at school and he doesn't cope well with change. There's always something with kids, but man, her timing to get sick was impeccable. Ugh! Just when Mommy was finally getting to do something fun for Mommy. I hope the rest of you guys have a good time. I'll be looking forward to the next opportunity to meet everyone.

Bummer Itsren! I was looking forward to chatting with you again and meeting Jess. I'm sorry your DD is sick, I hope she feels better soon!
