Yum! It looks like they are nut-free, too. The most difficult thing for me to give up was my morning yogurt parfait that I made with granola mix - of course, with nuts in it. I'll have to try this one. Thanks for sharing the link.

I'd use beeswax,. Unsure if you know, but you have an awesome source for wax and honey right there in Tacoma, at exit 123- Harvard Robbins, beekeeper!

Just checked on her. She's a little confused, but being nice-ish. They were all still under her and hadn't come out yet, so I pulled them out one by one in the daylight and showed them the food and water in the nest box. Lucy was eating too, which is great! Then one of them started to snuggle up with her and burrow under her and she pecked at it a little (but not in a way that looked super hostile...or friendly) so I took them each and put them back under her. Maybe she just needs more time with them under her, getting her scent on them?

Jess, you are being a "helicopter" mom! You need to "watch" but only interfere if she's trying to kill them. Such a silly nervous Nellie you are

You are a "MOM" to three little ones I think - do you hover over "them" as much as you do your chickens? Really, if she hasn't killed them yet they should be fine. She'll probably get more upset with "YOU" bothering her and them than she will be upset having them. Good luck (I know it's hard not to hover . . .!)
