So Sweetlilbaby, I didn't see anything on CL, I looked up around my work too, nothin'. Then I went on ebay and saw this, and it has free shipping.

I saw those too. The problem is muscovies have really sharp claws and will rip that apart. as well as drain the water everytime they try to get in and out. I'm sure i'll figure out something or they can deal with a small tote til i find something.

Hi StumpFarmer!

Sweetlilbaby, I just LOL'd, someone dug a hole - lined it with plastic - and covered the top with rocks! And it doesn't look too bad!

I rent. Otherwise i'd dig a hole and line with 2 inch thick of cement. Because then I could have a large pond as deep as i want slopping up so they could have a shallow and a deep end.

Well we had a busy day at home today. Darn Lucy keeps leaving her chicks to go take care of business in the run. Then she either leaves some (who've followed her) in the run, or stays with the ones in the run and leaves the others in the hutch. Bad mama! I'm only going to let them out for a couple hours tomorrow.

Then we did 2 hours of school and got ahead in some areas.

4 loads of laundry washed and put away.

Yummy breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Kitchen already cleaned up.

Kids all learned their bible verses for AWANA tonight.

Now they're all cleaning up the mess they made today.

Oh and DH helped them all paint their race cars for the AWANA Grand Prix on Saturday. There's still more to do but for now they're drying.

Next up: Take kids to clue, go to post office, crash on couch for 45 minutes, pick up kids after their bedtime from AWANA and put them to bed.

Jess, can you just keep them out of the hutch and make a makeshift nest on the ground in their section of the run? I think you might have more success with that. The ramp can be tricky for some chicks to grasp.
