You are 98.6 degrees. Why would you not be able to keep her warm?Ok... I may have been a little preemptive. Perhaps its just straightening out from being cramped in the egg... Poor little girl can't walk very well, and she's trying to cuddle with the other chicks but they keep walking away from her. I would hold her if I could keep her warm enough.![]()

I once kept a rejected newborn kitten in my bra for warmth. She was deformed and rejected by cats and dogs. She had a hole in her throat that leaked and made a bubble under her skin whenever she nursed on the bottle. Hernia in her tummy and cleft lip and snaggle tooth, cross eyed. She was given little chance of survival. Fast forward 14 yrs. She is the only one of the litter that is still alive. She has outlived all her siblings. She is funny. If you touch her she purrs. Instantly. She is my baby and sleeps on my head every night.you could warm her against your body or even in a pocket, some chicken ladies have even carried chicks in their bras.
So cute!!! Did you set yours the same day I did!? I didn't get any mixed ones, and two of my RIR pipped but never hatched, but they were also the ones that got moved by the other chicks bumbling around.
Quote: The doctor always tells me that but I do not believe him, I am always freezing my butt off, clearly my thermostat must be broken.
I'm not sure I would ever be able to put a chicken in my bra, for multiple reasons, but the most apparent is that I never take my Northface off, again see above.
Charlotte! As in, Charlotte Bronte.![]()
