Hi everyone... Do you guys remember that Cochin chick who was near death about a month ago, who I named Hope? Today Hope is doing great... And is actually a he. I'm thinking about re-naming him Mars or Prometheus... After Prometheus and Pandora. Here he is tonight:

Woot! A silkie went broody tonight. I have a couple eggs from today saved, and then I'll collect tomorrows blue eggs for her. Hopefully I'll get another chick at least.

I think I may have like two or three that may be going broody. I am going to have chicks out the wazzu if I let them hatch every time they go broody. But I have some black/black silkie eggs that I want to see if they are fertile. I knew they are a really broody breed, but jeez!

I love them though. Have fun hatching chicks under yours!

I also wanted to say my daughter just had a baby girl in Elgin, IL....you can see pics on her FB page, my daughter's name is Lisa Karels...go see the baby !!!!!!!!!
