Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Ahem;
Once I saw a "sloth" of bears chase a "chattering" of starlings away from a kill made be a "leap" of leopards while a "skulk" of foxes comtemplated a "charm" of hummingbirds who were abiding a "siege" of herons during which time I reveled in a "murder" of crows chasing a "convocation" of eagles because of the "unkindness" of ravens took no notice of ME.

May I offer some advice?

No glass is "half full" or "half empty". The real problem is "too much glass"
I am the last of the family I was born into. No siblings, no parents, no aunts or uncles from either side and no known cousins are left.
That "old gang of mine" is no longer alive either, all are gone.
Life is either too short or in some cases too long depending only on your perspective.

The proper term is ... murder ... you had a Murder of Crows flying after you ...

I have absolutely know response for you VF, except that I can speak from my own experiences as a 22 yr old. I was in the "I'm an adult" stage of my life. I hope she comes around and eases your pain and answers your questions.

See! I knew crows were evil little buggers! Of course I used to watch a lot of horror movies, so... ya...

Also, I just hate the crows in my yard, because they pester my dear girls all day long. Makes me wanna leave the dog out.

TerrorBird -- murder -- crows ...

Sounds to me like I'm helping a LOT

Hahaha! Good luck in your tilling! I need to get started on mine as well...

I was going to get working in the garden this afternoon, but we've gotten a sudden hailstorm! Knocked over my pea planter! Thankfully the chickens seem smart enough to stay out of it, this time. Last time I found them all huddled in the open, soaking wet with hail "saddles" on their backs.

I was gonna work out in my garden today since it's my day off but we have had nasty wind the last couple days. It's almost impossible to do anything outside. My plants need to get in the ground soon. Hopefully tomorrow the wind will be gone and I can get some of my plants in the ground :) I didnt even let my chickens out today. they are all huddling in their houses for the most part

I've gone to donut shops/bakeries and asked if they had any 5 gallon buckets with lids they were getting rid of.  Typically they have them and you'll just have to clean the food stuff out of them which comes clean easily.

I have a bunch of four gallon buckets without bales that my BIL was getting full of left-over or past use-by date sour cream in until the dealer decided to sell the stuff instead; they're a little heavier than I like to carry around filling chicken feeders with, though- too many five-gallon buckets full of calf feed in my past!
