Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

So my chickens must really like their pallet coop. Since they have been in it they have been cooping themselves around 5-6pm each night, even though it is light out til near 7:30. I got up at 5pm today(worked late and didn't get to bed til near 9am) and went out to get eggs, they were all in and on the roosts. And it wasn't stormy out, sun was shining.

My excitement is bounds beyond my understanding of... what the heck is a plasma cutter?! If you bring it near my TV I will attempt to throw blows (and probably hurt myself).

Quote: Why would ya wanna build one that is gonna rust out ? ? ?

TORRENTIAL today! Wowza, what a horrid windy day! First, the plywood I had leaning against the chicken run and being held up by the rabbit hutch and a bin blew over. Coulda killed my chickens had they been standing there but they weren't. Then my youngest baby got trapped alone for several hours and was quite chilly when I found her; Lucy has abandoned them during the day and only covers them at night; it's awful chilly still for a barely just turned 5 weeker to be left alone; I stuck her in my shirt/coat to get warm for 10 minutes before putting her in the coop to hide from the wind like the rest of the babies.

Then my kids went outside to play in the rain and wind. OK, fine, no big deal it's just water. Aaaaaand they had a MUD BALL FIGHT near the creek. WTHeck?! No joke you guys I HOSED MY KIDS DOWN FULLY CLOTHED IN THE BACKYARD today. They cried. I told them it was foolish to cover themselves with mud. Stripped them nekked right inside the basement door and tossed everything into the washer; woulda thrown those disobedient kids in the washer if they had fit!

It's alright now, I'm not mad anymore, but I was fuming when it happened!

Now I'm planning all the things I need to do to get ready for chickens in springtime this weekend. I have more trash near the chicken run that needs disposing, gotta clean out the run from all the shavings when Lucy lived out there with the chicks, make them a proper dust bath, rake the yard, etc etc etc. Too much. Oi!
