And it just so happens that I landed a volunteer/apprentice position up in Lake Stevens, so I will be there on the weekends, and possibly more days come May.

Paul, let me know what you are looking for, what you would like to grow, how much, etc. etc.

Hehe... I wonder what is ever going to get done in my garden this year?? Lol... Maybe I'll just plant it in my car, so I don't have to leave it... Picture it now: a VW jetta with a garden & chicken coop built in driving down the road.

Hey, speaking of me being "dangerous"
gig.gif

So I went to the gas station store to get my daily fix ( 2 one litters of Wild Cherry Pepsi and two bags of chips) and as soon as I walked in the owner and her daughter began yelling to me...:Your in the paper, your in the paper!" I was so confused. Then they stopped, and asked "wait, how old are you?" I told them 27. Then it was, "Yeah we were right it is you!" They ran over to the news paper rack and grabbed this paper....

They thumbed through it for a moment and found what they were looking for on page 3. "See, See, here you are. We knew it was you as soon as we read the story."
Here check it out for your selves.

This made my day. Not just because it was me, but because you will hardly ever hear of situations where a normal citizen did good buy carrying and maybe even pulling their personal weapon! "They" like to keep that kind of stuff on the Hush hush

wow, you're good! The bad guys had better watch their step with you!

Love it!

Hey you guys, I just found wheaten Marans . . . I didn't even think wheaten anything would be of interest; why didn't anyone tell me how beautiful they are?!!! I think I must have a couple.
Is this called chicken math or what? I think I am out of control again.

A couple/three in the Kelso area, CR near Mary's Corner, TurtlePower in Ore, and three that I know of in Rochester. We had our first meet up just a month ago but I betcha there will be another. I believe there's a show coming up in Vancouver but I don't have any details.
The BIG meetup is in Monroe each year with a potluck. (that just happened last Sat) Haven't heard anyone put forth a meet and swap yet this year, maybe this summer?

WELCOME BGMATT!

Hang on to your hat, this forum moves very, very fast but jump right in and join the fun. The guys/gals here are great, can and will answer questions about chickens and talk about our doings as life unfolds for us.

I was going to respond to your post but now I can't find it... So here goes (based off memory... oh boy!)

PUT THAT MAN ON A BUDGET! Or you can take my g'ma's advice, which would be "hide his checkbook, and make him sleep with the hogs. he'll figure it out eventually." Ok... so she may've been losing it at that point in her life. No one else can handle it, dear. You're the boss!

But then again... I'm single, so perhaps my advice is a little inexperienced. Wine always helps.
