Chicks are fun. Just be warned that they do a really good "dead' imitation, and when they dustbath they look like they are having a seizure. Don't panic.I just thank you very much for helping me in providing contacts in WA - I will save them all for future. happily I was able to get a contact phone number of the BRADLEY FARM IN Tacoma - the farm I was waiting reply on the Facebook for a while. They are close to home and I heard a lot of good things about them. These going to be my first chicks EVER!

Oh, lFarmin Momma's story about when she had to kick those trespassers off some land at gun-point awhile back ended up in the paper yesterday. Some people don't like it when other people don't think exactly how they do, I guess....?
Does anyone here REALLY think that protecting property is more important than protecting children? Seriously? Please, please, tell me that's not true. I think too well of you all to believe it.
I'm going to stick my neck out
I am all for protecting self, family, friends, and property. If I owned a gun, and my car was driving away from my house I'd be sure to take out at least one tire, while I was calling 911. And if anyone EVER tried to take/hurt my daughter, they better be praying while they do it, my motherly protection instincts are astounding and uncontrollable. No, my daughter will not date until I'm dead, she knows & understands this already.
I might have missed something, but aside from one almost being run over, it didn't sound as though the children were in immediate danger, at least, not anymore than she was.
Chickiemomy - where did you get your GSD from? I am looking for one that isn't $5,000. I plan to train it for personal protection and schutzhund competitive, but holy moly they are expensive even as puppies.

Does anyone know of any SQ Serama, Wyandotte bantam, or frizzle Cochin bantam breeders who have 1-5 day old chicks available? I just hatched a Serama and it's looking like the other ones aren't going to hatch, and the one that's zipping is having issues so it probably won't make it eitherI don't want my Serama to be lonely. I also don't want to go to the feed store and waste my money on a chick that I'll just have to give away later... So if anyone knows anybody, please PM me.![]()
Thank you

It is very pretty. However, considering the havoc that my chickens have made of my newly placed gravel paths and brick patio last summer, I'd suggest that any chickens added to that beautiful yard be confined to a nice run or that gravel with be all over that pristine garden along with any dirt that could be kicked up and out. Then say goodbye to your Better Homes and Gardens submission. My girls are hoodlums I tell you! I'm making sure to keep the spray paint out their little claws or next they'll be painting my new wooden fence in grafitti.![]()
