Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

I got my rooster today, and a friend to go with him. She's a sweet BO and he's a depressing BR (no tail or wing feathers, a head bob and blind in one eye). We've learned way too late that our quarantine coop is actually a grow-out coop. It's just not the thing for them. We're going to throw a coop together in the next few days so that they can live comfortable for most of a month while I debug them. I've read that sulfur, more specifically powdered sulfur, kills mites. I'm going to try to find some locally. I need to take some pictures of him in these first few days so that I can give Pasado's pictures of him before and after. I will make sure he turns into a handsome guy.

Can't wait to see him after he's grown those feathers back!

Don't think I shared this...she's still young and I know her feathers will still change a bit, but both of my SS didn't get those beautiful white speckled markings I was expecting. They're not very pretty :( This is Alice, 8 weeks old.

My Belgians like to eat dog poo. It's completely disgusting. I chase them away but they keep trying to get back to it. None of my other girls do that.
our chickens eat dog poo. And our dogs eat chicken poo. We have a regular ecosystem thing going here.

Every molt they will get more white speckles, they usually have a bit more white at first tho, not supposed to have the barring on the feathers, they get a little mixed at some of the hatchery's I know but I still think they are beautiful.

You pretty much don't need to feed them anymore 'cuz they're in an endless loop there...
