Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

I am going, but I am not going to show anything. Have to take oldest DH across the river to Portland for a sailing regatta Saturday and Sunday. Just not very convenient this year to bring birds. But I will be there to check out the birds for a little while on Saturday.
Hopefully next year I will have more birds to show and no DS and team mates to drive around. He will hopefully be busy with college and a job! Lol!
I laughed out loud at this one.

Aaah...teething! I loved my kids' babyhood, but teething was a bear. Be grateful chicks have no teeth!
Yeah its never any fun...

What I wouldn't do for a newbie to walk all night again. I wish we could have more babies! I miss sleepless nights :(

I have 2 chickens that have a "cough". They don't look sick. They are eating just fine, laying eggs and acting normal. Any ideas?

Eyes normal? Discharge - cloudyness - spots - lines - goop
Nostrils normal? Discharge - build up - plugged - extra dirty - sneeze
Breathing normal? Rasp - rails - wheeze
Water - ACV or Bleach?

I use 2x4's painted(2-3 coats), and attatched with the 4 in side up so they have a stable flat side to sit on, especially when it's really cold. They can totally cover their toes with their bodies. I agree with putting something in there that bugs can't live in, but they don't grip perches like other birds do. So I feel better when they have a flat surface to sit on. But others have used round perches just fine. Just my preference.

I'm using an old closet pole. Seems to work OK.

My newborn is getting her first teeth so its been a tough week....
My daughter, now in her 40's, didn't cut her first tooth till she was 18 months old. Talk about teething! Her gums where like shoe leather by then and she popped 2 at once. We where so concerned about how old she was that we asked the Dr. if she needed false teeth.

I love it... I wish I could walk her but I have a torn muscle in my back and cant lift more then 10lbs for very long so the only way I can walk her is if I put her in a baby carrier... and well she prefers daddies arms. He sorda does a military march and for some reason she loves it. . When my second one was born my husband deployed to Iraq when he was only 6 weeks old so he missed out on the first 18 months of his life and with our 3rd baby his PTSD was so bad he was scared that when he cried he would have a flash back and flip out so he held back. But with her he is so hands on wants to do EVERYTHING. So for me I am cherishing just watching him be a dad. Its true you never love a man more then when hes holding his baby. She is most likely our last baby so I am trying to hold on to everything that much more. But like any mommy I hate to know shes hurting and I cant really fix it...

Oh geeze well funny story my first 3 were born WITH teeth already cut... my oldest daughter had her top two and bottom two and both my boys had their bottom two.... This one is my only one without any teeth... From what we can see she is gettin 3 at once and shes only 10 weeks old... Her dr said thats early.... Now if only my 6 year olds teeth would come in we would be good...
