Busy, busy thread.

1) Happy birthday Jess!

2) Chickens are awesome, ducks might just be awesome-er though!    (Which makes me ponder why I'm getting back into chickens but not ducks...uh-oh)

3) Anybody know what used Sportsman 1202 and Dickey Incubators go for around these parts? I've got three that I'm thinking about selling.

1202's are free to folks named Dave.  Let me know where I can pick mine up.

Thanks,

Dave

You're trickier than I am; I need to use an incubator soon and am putting my wee mite into wire (Del's has livestock panels for $27, and I need five: thus will be brokish for a month).

May have overdone yesterday*: went to bed earlier than usual, slept in until nearly nine, and am currently fighting the inclination to go back to bed and forget about the day.

Unfortunately I still have four pregnant cows (the first tencalved over a three week period, these four calved in very late April, May, and June last year and the year before: this is what I mean when I say "the infexibility of nine month pregnancies"), two chicken coops I'm working on, and this is the last day the sheep can be tied in the orchard, because tomorrow when he comes in I open the gate to the cattle so that they are in the field with the corral.

Tomorrow is the first round-up, worm, and vaccinate; the bull's coming in the week after, I think.

Farming, man, farming in spring: never a slack day.

*DD came over and got here about the time I do the last round of egg-checks before tea, and we put together the kennel kit from HD prior to the rest of my end-of-day chores. Looks good, blocks the last clear view of the orchard from the house, I need a surveillance camera for my birthday.

Free incubator people, Bantam Brahmas make excellent broodies, so I definitely have some you can have! I'll even name one of the pullets 1202 for you Dave! LOL

I was just asking because the only one I've seen on Craigslist looks like the same one listed over and over again for $250 so didn't know what range to ask for around here.

Matt,

I'd be interested in one of them - it would save me the trouble of building one.
