Well, having coffee with my DH this morning, I heard the most pathetic little crow come from the coop. I paused, thinking that maybe something was wrong with Sirius, then he crowed too. Flo-Jo is definitely a he. So, I guess his new name will be Foghorn.

This made me giggle.

They are so cute!! The lady I got my Silkie roo from had Jersey Giants, they are so cool!!

The Siamese twins look super cute.

It was only 2 weeks of bed rest! And I had to go to their assembly! It was the last one!!! My sis drove me cuz I am smart enough to know that driving on pain meds is bad and that the throbbing right leg would not be very quick to react to driving situations! I go in for my post op appointment on Thursday so I will find out if I'm released from bed or not.

I still will be on crutches for quite awhile and not able to drive tho.

Having my independence taken away sucks ostrich eggs!!!

We have a wheel chair, remember ?
If you ever 'do' something that requires alot of walking or standing, it comes in very handy...you can sit & elevate the Owie leg !

Try the mask (respirator) with the vent also made by 3M. It's good if you're wearing goggles (vented keeps the fog down) instead of regular safety glasses they will keep more of the dust out of your eyes. Not much of anything that I dislike more then put up that stuff.

I finally got some great face masks...they are double thick and do not fog me up...so, now I can wear the saftey glasses over my specs, UNSPIT UPON and do not fog up.
It can be scarey being FOGGED UP...especially the stairwell hole in the floor........................YIKES.

I'd heard about the egg membrane before long ago. Thanks for jogging my memory. I get cuts a LOT.

Paper wasp nest paper works too.
Just make sure you peel the outside only off a deserted nest & save it in a zip lock.

Red Bridge is easy to find at any grocery store, (it's made by Anheuser Busch) , but we really like New Grist (also sorghum-rice based beer) and really, really, really REALLY love New Planet GF beer- the raspberry beer is awesome.

Too bad they have not made a sorghum/rice cherry beer !
