Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

On the silkie question. It could have been a smooth sizzle silkie. You need the smooth to breed with the sizzle. The feathers look normal but do not have the barbs. Here are a few of my 2 mo old sizzle smooth silkies. Not great pics with phone.

Just had to show off! DH and DS went to a kids' fishing derby yesterday, and DS caught a 16.5 incher, and won 2nd prize! Here he is with his catch and his prize tackle box.

Such a bummer! We just spent a crap ton of money on a picnic table, umbrella, 2 huge outdoor storage bins with hydraulic lid lifts, a 10 person tent for camping this summer, and new clothes, pillows, food. Car was packed to the brim. Hoping we won't owe the deductible...how's that work if someone else is entirely at fault?

Don't forget the 5 ct diamond that flew off your finger when it happened and got lost!

On the silkie thread again. Took this to show what a pair would look like. I don't know if these are M/F yet but this is what a breeding pair should look like from what I have learned so far. A sizzle and a smooth. Any other input please! I am new at this too.

That iS a bummer! Just hope everyone is OK... The "stuff" will get sorted out:(. From my experience, if the other driver is at fault (usually not a problem to establish with a rear-ender), you shouldn't have to pay a dime as long as they are insured. Their insurance company will work with yours to cover everything that your policy covers...towing, rental, repair, etc. BUT I am certainly no insurance expert!!! Hopefully your wreck gets resolved quickly!

Does anyone near Gig Harbor have some nice bright blue hatching eggs? I need one more egg to fill my incubator next week! If that one isn't a pullet, I could then be looking for 2-3 more eggs in late May. I don't really care what breed (EE, Araucana, or ameraucana), just want some nice bright eggs in my basket!:D
