I love Papa's Poultry! He has some great birds. George is a great name for your Jubilee!! I had a breeding pair of LF chocolate Orpingtons but a coyote got them both. Someday I'll replace them.

I have my flock of Mottled / Spangled Orps though. They don't get to free-range; they're too expensive lol!

Who knew how many local people would be wanting to buy chicks during the winter?!?! There are all sorts of folks wanting to buy my cockerels and pullets, and I still need to save some for myself. LOL If I would have known there was such a demand, I would have stuck some more eggs in the incubator. Does anyone else have chicks this time of year?

Lol I've been hatching orpingtons all winter and selling them on rare breed auctions. I have also been hatching silkies and selling them all winter locally throughout the state.

All of my incubators have been full all winter. There are no signs of slowing!

I hatch all winter long. Right now my incubators are full of Ayam Cemani eggs but next hatch will be standard blue cochins, after that it'll probably be lavender orps, and on and on. I love to start chicks in winter so they're ready to lay by summer when my local B&B's want eggs.

I will by summer but right now my breeding stock is too young. I made the mistake of buying from a line that had a high cull rate and I got sub par genetics so I am now starting over with Greefire lines.
