Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

I like your coop. Could you tell me how you attached the shingles? We plan on doing ours that way (right now it's just painted plywood), but don't want a million little nails sticking out on the inside of the coop.
1" staples with a pnumatic staple gun.
@Theegoliath -- congratulations on getting chosen for Coop of the Week! Your coop is just so cool! How's everything going with all the rain and wind?
Thank you Carolyn : ) the coop hasnt been phased by the weather. Just been tweeking the poop board/roosts. finished that last night. The rooster weathervane and one more tweek on the door and the coop will be completed. hows did your fare.? Its next to the fence, should have been fine right?

Aside from our coop though, we have three more girls squatting for us now the past two weeks. Our welsymmer has layed everyday the past two weeks, and our brahma and ameracauna are due to lay any day now. There persinalities get so much better after they start squatting. Not as much running away lol.. So we now get three eggs a day. Out of our 8 girls, 1 is molting, 2 are still to young, 3 lay every day, and 2 are due any day now!! : o

Wow! Three out of three say hen! I am so happy! I was sure she was male with those pointy tail feathers. I'm so glad I asked! Thank you!

Well you were all correct 2 months ago when you said that Luna, my lovely Speckled Sussex, was a girl. She laid her first egg today at 6 months and 3 days of age! I'm so happy that she's a girl and that she's laying. Now three of my five girls are laying! Woohoo!
